Pebblemonkey is right though - if they are serious about reenacting and want to be respected for what they do then they do need to concentrate on doing one thing and doing it properly, not flitting from one thing to another as Gadge and Evo do
Definitely. But, pebble is a dick as well, for admitting he knows someone who went to Croatia! I also knew someone who went there as a "merc" and his job was basically killing unarmed muslims and serbians. Not much to be proud of and I had nowt to do with him afterwards and I definitely wouldn't post on an open forum that, essentially, I used to know a war criminal! Also "almost killed" is a bit strange. I "almost" won the lottery last week (only needed 6 more numbers!

Yeah, Webby was pushing for a Russian game - he was jumping up and down to organise one with Lardy but I sort of said hang on, see how Kasserine goes to see if the organisation 'works' before attempting to organise yet another game. As it is Gadge will no doubt take over now anyway. Very unimaginative (and safe) to have it at FSA. Yith will be in the throws of childbirth so he won't be having much to do with it, let alone play the game.

Sanbox and PBI will be doing an Autumn 'Russian Front' event later this year.
Could we please have a slot for it in events.
Its 'The Battle for Dukla Pass' Its set in September 44 as the Soviets invade Czechoslovakia.
Event date is August 8th, sides are Axis (combined battlegroup) vs Soviets.
Event site is Fearful Silence
Kit restrictions will be very relaxed.
Key organisers at this time for editing/posting privs would be lardassmonkey, Wladek, gadge,Evo, webby and possibly Yith.
Hope you can help us out here and it would be great if you could attend.

Its funny that there should be no kit restrictions at all - PBI seem to have lost all of the principles they held dear! (No regens went at the UCAP game, kit rules gone at Aug game).

Might I suggest some additional lines to this if you think they are appropriate?......................Yith and I are on a mission to find out whether the 325th would have been issued with the M43 uniform by Market Garden, we know the paratroopers were as there are plenty of pics of them at Nijmegan in them. Difficult to find information on a regiment of a division which is overshadowed by the fame of another regiment whether it be game or film........................
...........No need to do any research on uniforms worn - we have already done this and come up with an approved kit guide. We don't want people to go out buying stuff they don't need.
Please, please don't start a 'Yith/Gadge says wear this' thread - players start to think this is what is required of them - no problem with them doing that on a PBI game but not ours!
..........As you say, we have deliberately set this at a time that means players don't need to buy new kit as almost anything goes - nice and easy. We'd much rather players turned up and got into the spirit of the period and looked like real soldiers than prancing about looking like reenactors on a show display!

Probably unrelated but I detect tensions in the camp. Very weird PBI should run a game with no uniform restrictions whatsoever. Nige has been posting on here like he was never away. Evo & Gadge want to do other dressing up and play at open days.
I turned down the offer of a birthday shag no strings attached with Sophie next week......must be loosing it.
Gadge ...nobber ...PBI....nobbers.....nige ...nobber etc etc for another 20 pages .......

Heh, I didn't bother to post further. I was watching our assault of Etna from the safety of the opposite hill and as Gadge lobbed upwards in a fey way I thought 'guess what is going to happen next'. 
Mind, saying that I reckon 75% of grenades lobbed are wasted - fall short, fuse knocked out, bounce off twigs and branches, girlie-thrown three feet in front of (or behind!) the thrower etc etc
I think it's funny that it's ended up with loads of people talking about airsoft pyro! F**k all like a real hand grenade, of which I've thrown dozens, without incident and all on target!
